Olympia

amalgamated by Geri Kinnear

My name is Olympia. I live on a small isolated island off the coast of Greece. My parents have given me many gifts: the power to love, acceptable beauty, a clever way of thinking, and an appreciation for the loveliness of the earth. I am an artist. I write poetry in the light of the full moon. I must nurture my poems within my mind for thirty days and labor to commit them onto paper through one night of moonlight. I express my poetry in many ways, in my paintings, my dance, my song. My days are filled with the power of words, the delight of music, and the beauty of art. My heart embraces peace.
